All About Ms. Sarah!

"I have been with Little Sprouts since November of 2013. I started here as a teacher assistant, worked as the Lead Infant teacher for eight years and then moved on to take over the Lead Preschool teacher in the fall of 2022. I have worked in this field since 2006.

My favorite way to spend my weekends and days off are with my husband, Matt, family and friends. We enjoy relaxing at home, playing games and watching movies. 

Matt and I have two cats, Sophia and Loki. They are 3 years old and we love them so much. Sophia is very chill, but she is the queen of the house. Loki lives up to his name. He is the more mischievous one, but a big baby who loves to snuggle. 

I have had the great privilege of traveling throughout the U.S. with family. We have visited many National Parks, Historic Landmarks, and Museums. We also have had our fair share of pit stops, U-turns, and silliness to spice up every trip. I can't say I have a favorite vacation spot, but anytime away, relaxing and hanging out with the ones I love is my absolute favorite time. 

I have always wanted to work with children, and really enjoy being the preschool teacher. Watching them learn something new and being a part of that journey is one of the most rewarding feelings. 

The best advice I've ever heard, it's okay to ask for help. What makes childcare work is our team and being able to rely on each other. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. There will be hard days, great days, and many in between. 

Working with children has taught me to expect the unexpected. Between what they say and what they do, it's always an adventure. The most rewarding is watching them accomplish something new, the excitement in their faces, the way they tell the story of how it happened and the fact that you are the one they are choosing to share a moment with. It really is the best."
