Administrative Assistant
All About Ms. Sloane!
"I have been with Little Sprouts since June of 2021 and I am currently the Administrative Assistant. My son started daycare at Little Sprouts the summer of 2020. I was already working with children in a school setting and decided to join the team for the summer. This gave me an opportunity to be with him throughout the day as well. I fell in love and decided to stay on part time throughout the years until I became full-time the summer of 2023.
My favorite way to start a weekend is with a good cup of coffee, snuggles with the kids, and a good movie that never gets finished because we have to make breakfast! We enjoy spending time with family and making the most of each weekend.
We have two cats that we rescued from a local animal shelter. It was such a fun, but challenging, experience as the kids and I would of rescued them all. We took time to think and our hearts went with two 'brothers', Fuzzy and Maxxy.
I have visited many interesting places, however the most unique was Venice Beach in Florida. The beautiful, dark gray sand, mixed with fossil fragments, making it look black in areas is stunning and the amount of shark teeth you can find! Absolutely beautiful!!
I would love to learn taxidermy. I have so much love and passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing are a major part of my families' lives and how cool would it be to preserve such an amazing memory for my family?
My dream job would be a wildlife rehabilitator! I love the wildlife and I would enjoy caring for sick and injured animals and hopefully return them to their natural habitat.
The best advice that I received while working with children, wasn't words, but with all the professional development I have learned from mentors, teachers and staff along the way.
The best part of working in childcare is watching children 'master' milestones a long the way and watching them celebrate their success. I love being there to cheer them on from the side and continue guiding them in the right direction.
Being a mom will always and forever be my biggest accomplishment. Though challenging at times, nothing beats seeing my children grow, learn and love!
The most rewarding part of my job is defiantly having a sense of purpose. We are here to help nurture children's development, guide them, and provide them with a safe and loving environment."
